Knowledge
With proper maintenance you can avoid 99% of all lawn problems. Your lawn should be at least 2½ to 3 inches (6-8 cm) long, longer during a hot, dry summer. Grass clippings are about 90 percent water by weight and are high in protein. Leaving them on the lawn to decompose will return vital nutrients back to the soil.
Your lawn needs 1 to 1-1/2" (3-4cm) of water weekly, which should only be applied early in the morning.

Environmental Benefits
With urban sprawl and the growth of cities, maintaining vibrant green spaces becomes more and more important.
Grass captures greenhouse gasses and air-pollution, and generates much of the oxygen we breathe. It also acts as a barrier, deterring chemicals from entering soil and ground water.
